A 10-year-old and 13-year-old male juveniles face charges of damage to property, second degree and criminal trespass after they wreaked havoc on a local automotive repair shop.

According to Madison Police Department reports, officers on Friday, Dec. 30 at 12:45 p.m. were called to the TK’s Auto, Fairgrounds Road regarding two juveniles who had jumped the fence and were “doing donuts in a vehicle.”

When officers arrived they observed a 10-year-old exit the vehicle and attempt to jump a fence. The 10-year-old and 13-year-old were detained by witnesses and were taken into custody.

Reports state that officers recognized both youths. An officer went to the Micha Circle home of the 10-year-old to inform the child’s mother that her son had been taken into custody for allegedly driving a Acura recklessly in the lot behind the repair shop and when he arrived and the woman opened the door the “odor of marijuana was overwhelming.” The woman told the officer that she had smoked one “joint”  to “help her calm down.”

An officer also went to the Budget Inn, Eatonton Road to inform the 13-year-old’s mother that he, too, would be detained. Both parents were advised that they would be responsible for  damages at the repair shop.

Reports state that along with damages to the Acura, there were also damages to the front grill and bumper and doors to a white Jeep Cherokee, damage to the rear bumper of a Chevrolet Suburban and a red Ford sedan.
