On Jan. 13 a criminal trespass complaint was filed at a Monticello Road residence. According to reports, a man said that someone had damaged a section of fence with either a truck or SUV. A deputy located a left outside mirror cover from a vehicle and surmised that a vehicle traveling south on Monticello Road lost control and struck the fence which is located 20 feet off the roadway. The complainant estimated damage at $500.
On Jan. 13 a burglary complaint was filed at an Atlanta Highway, Rutledge residence. According to reports, someone entered a house under construction sometime between Jan. 11 and Jan. 12 and removed several items including microwave oven, a refrigerator, a gas stove, a dishwasher and two outside air conditioning units. A neighbor reported observing flashlights at the work site during the night. The water and gas was turned off to the residence during the burglary. The complainant estimated damage and loss costs at nearly $10,000.
On Jan. 13 a damage to vehicle complaint was filed at a Scaffold Road residence. According to reports, a man reported that he observed apparent cat scratches on the hood and fender of his burgundy 2012 Chevy Tahoe. The man said prior to the incident he allegedly observed his neighbor’s cat sitting on his porch earlier in the day. A deputy noted that he observed a black cat sitting on the porch of the complainant’s neighbor’s house.
On Jan. 12 an information report was filed at a Mallard Ridge Road residence. According to reports, a couple alleged that their niece had damaged several items on their property and they requested that she be forbidden from the property. The complainant’s alleged that the niece had damaged an Android phone by placing grease on the phone. A replacement phone cost $792, they said.
On Jan. 12 William Carson Frost, 17, Buckhead was arrested and charged with failure to maintain lane and possession of marijuana. According to reports, a deputy alleged that a vehicle Frost was driving on Old Buckhead Road failed to maintain its lane. Consequent to a traffic stop the deputy reported locating a small amount of suspected marijuana in a Mentos container in the vehicle.
On Jan. 11 a financial identity fraud complaint was filed at a Walter Shepherd Road, Rutledge residence. According to reports, a woman said she received both a FedEx package and a letter from Discover Bank regarding a credit card with a $11,500 credit line she had established for a man. The woman said she did not know the man and had not contacted the bank regarding a credit card.
On Jan. 10 a harassment complaint was filed at a Mallard Ridge, Bostwick residence. According to reports, a woman alleged that someone sent her a text message basically stating that “they were going to mess her life up.” The complainant suspects her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend’s mother of sending the text.
On Jan. 8 an affray complaint was filed at Morgan County Middle School, Pearl St.
According to reports, a 13-year-old male student and a 12-year-old male student engaged in a physical confrontation near the bus loading ramp at the school despite a school resource officers attempt to separate the two children. One child sustained injuries that required medical attention.
