Deborah Jean Wade, 60, died Wednesday, January 10, 2018. She was born January 4, 1958 in Madison. She was preceded in death by her mother Mamie Wade.

She was a career employee of the Wellington Company in Madison and later worked as a dedicated Caregiver to the residents of the Madison House Assisted Living.

Debbie’s favorite aspect of her life was her family. She raised her brother Tony and was second “mom” to her nephew Antonio. She was quiet and reserved but was an observer. Over the past couple of years she experiences some difficult health challenges but she never complained. She depended on her unwavering faith in God to walk her through those seasons. She truly believed that she would be a testimony to someone else and that she was.

Debbie leaves to cherish her memories her brothers Tony (Jovan) and Terry Wade of Madison; her aunts Laura Wade (Kenneth) of Willingboro, New Jersey, Carrie (Floyd) Harden of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Lola Morgan of Madison; her uncles S. B.Wade, Davie (Hennie) Wade of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Jessie (Luebertha) Wade of New Jersey; her nieces and nephews, Jasmine, Katedra, Kireonna, Tonya, Corvetta, Amyah, Manta, Antonio, Shondez and Victor; a host of favorite cousins and her very close friends Wenday Patterson and Valentina Carter.

Her funeral service was held Saturday, Jan. 20 at 11 a.m. in Lower Mosely Baptist Church with the Rev. Lonnie C. Brown, Pastor officiating and Rev. Dr. Joseph L. Nunnally, Eulogist. Interment was in Lower Mosley Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Richard Brown, John Etchinson, Carlos Gibbs, Tyrone Gibbs, Kenny Smith and Melvin Young. Flower Bearers were Shirley Evans, Carolyn Harris, Benay Morgan, Latonya Morgan, Mariana Morgan, Wendy Patterson and Sue Gibbs.
