Wade Waller Sr.

Wade Waller Sr., “Granddaddy”, 95, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009. He was born June 27, 1913 to Charlie and Delia Waller in Eatonton. He was a member of Morgan County Church of Christ where he attended until his health failed. Mr. Waller was retired from Georgia Power Harlem Branch in Milledgeville.

He is survived by his wife, Willie Jay Waller, one brother Joe (Willie Mae) Waller of Eatonton; three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death; two daughters, Alice Waller of Eatonton, and Gloria Farley of Valdosta; one son, Harold Harris of Eatonton; four foster daughters, Shirley Waymor and Sandy Lumpkin of Madison, Javonne Vencent (Wayne) of Austell and Mary Rivers of Minnesota; Tammy Lumpkin preceded him in death; a step-son Elton Gregory Tooten of Madison; a devoted and loving granddaughter Brekia (Dwight); two sisters-in-law Cealie E. (Harcourt) Morris and Leona (Paul) Hill, and a brother-in-law Harold Langston all of Miami, Florida, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was held at 12 p.m. Saturday, June 13 at Morgan County Church of Christ with Brother Ruben T. Walker officiating. Interment was in Morgan County Church of Christ Cemetery
Flower attendants were family and friends and the Class of 1965.

Casket attendants were Dwight Reese, Gregory Tooten, Nathaniel Harris, Darrell Welch, Jacques Waymond and Jawond Davis.

Jones and Turner Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements.
