Elisabeth (Betty) Jane (McIntosh) Davis of Roswell died peacefully on  June 17, 2009 at Metropolitan Hospice in Marietta following a short illness. She was born and raised in Anniston, Ala., and graduated from Anniston High School. She enjoyed reading, camping, and was an avid gardener. Her many years spent as a homemaker provided many interesting chapters in her life’s journey. She was a graduate of the Georgia Realtors Institute, and worked  many years as an agent with Northside Realty. She touched the lives of many people with her love of family, her exceptional cooking, and her wonderfully fun parties. She maintained her quirky sense of humor all the way to the end.

She was one of three children born to the late Robert and Mary Ferguson and was the beloved wife of the late Major James Davis, U.S. Army. Betty will forever be remembered by her devoted brother Kenon Ferguson; beloved children Jim Davis, Jr. and his wife Joy; John McIntosh and his wife Donna; Tracy McIntosh and his wife Kesa; treasured grandchildren Kathryn James, Kelly, Steven, Lauren, Sean, Kaelan McIntosh, Cecily Dennis, Eythan Holladay and two great grandchildren Jonathan and Meagan Parrish. She was preceded in death by her brother Alvis Robert Ferguson and her two daughters, Mary Deborah James and Ramona Elisabeth McIntosh. Friends and family were invited to attend a memorial service held on Tuesday, June 23, at 1 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 1210 Wooten Lake Road, Kennesaw, GA 30144, (770) 422-9114.
