Tanessa Scruggs and Matt Stewart of Madison are happy to announce the birth of their baby boy, Emory Matthew-Payne Stewart born July 7, 2009 at Athens Regional Hospital. Payne weighed 7 pounds and was 20 inches long. His older sibling Rayne welcomed him home with open arms.

Maternal grandparents are Ronda and Hershel Scruggs of Madison and the paternal grandparents are Jean and Danny Stewart.

Payne’s maternal great-grandmother is Doris Freeman of Madison and the paternal great-grandfather is Grady Stewart of Eatonton.
