On Saturday the weather was great, also Sunday and Monday. Only God can do the miracle of changing the weather from cold, rain, sleet, snow and storms. The book of Mark speaks of miracles and action that Jesus did. Although Jesus was a servant He was not a mere man. Only God the Son could give us such nice weather. Read the book of Mark, and I am sure you will be delighted in what you read about Jesus.
On Sunday as our speaker for the morning worship we had Apostle B. Knox from Decatur. His text came from Acts 2:39, "The Promise." We thank Sis. Knox and her family for coming with him. After our service a portion of USBC Family went to New Bethel in Buckhead where the Rev. Kindell was celebrating his second anniversary to a packed house with no sitting room. The Church house was on fire for Jesus. We had a wonderful time fellowshipping with his church family from Atlanta, the True LightHouse Baptist Church where the Rev. Darrell Elliott is pastor.
On Sunday we will have our Fifth Sunday meeting. You are welcome to come and be with us.
On Friday my son Johnny Reid came home to visit. This was his birthday, and we enjoyed taking him to Ruth Chris Steak House in downtown Buckhead in Atlanta Saturday evening. Joining us for this celebration were his sister Lisa Robert and friend. We had an enjoyable evening, although I missed my granddaughter Mone’t. She was visiting with her father.
Church Events: Fifth Sunday meeting in March; third Sunday in April–Easter program at USBC, 11 a.m.
Let us stay in prayer for our men and women in the armed forces, asking God to bring peace to our nation so they can all com
e home alive to their families.
Thought for the week: "Only God has the right to say what’s wrong."
