Paranormal Activity. It’s pert near midnight! Get your bowhonkers in the pick-up right smack this minute ‘cause we gotta head out to the Big House! Momma thinks a ding dang ghost is a hauntin’ the house so she hired a bumblin’ bunch of ghost catchers to chase it off with one of them fancy dance séance proceedins’! We made it! Ok! Through the front door! Y’all first! Lord – Have – Mercy –  On – Moses! Momma! You can’t be drinkin’ White Lightenin’ during a saucy séance! The whole ghost team is right tipsy turvy! This calls for Coffee and bona fied Holy Water! That’s right y’all! Just take a seat  ‘round this here dinin’ room table . . . I mean séance table . . . Sprinkle that Holy Water and let’s see what happens when! BANG! Who did it? Shhhhhhh! WHOAOOO . . . OHHHH  . . . . WHOAAAA! Who said it? Stop yer moanin’ Momma! What the? Momma’s done been taken over by some bangin’ banshee! Stand back while I slap her to Monday and slap her again for missin’ church on Sunday!  SLAP-SLAP! SLAP  BACK! What the? Momma! You’re back! I reckon we’ve done scared the daylights outta that ghost! Let’s eat! I’m as hungry as a ghost hunter howlin’ on Halloween!  Am I right? Yes!

It’s a ding dang good thing Denny’s is flat open 24/7! What? Didn’t y’all know Denny’s is open at the Pilot Travel Center located at 1881Eatonton Road? Well honey it surely is and I LOVE it! Ok so I popped over there the other day and met Shani Higgon of Greensboro and Latisha Reese of Madison and honey they gave me the whole scoop and nothin’ but! The deal is this: Denny’s is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and honey it’s always open! Plus on Tuesdays, kids eat free after 4 p.m.! Ding dang! Favorite menu items accordin’ to Shani and Latisha are the Build Your Own Grand Slam and the Lumberjack Slam for breakfast. Zesty Nachos for an appetizer but those Smothered Cheese Fries look dang good too! For lunch? Yummy burgers! For supper? Prime Rib Skillets or how ‘bout Grilled Shrimp Skewers for only 9.59!  Yum! And, speakin’ of good eats I was over at the Madison ChopHouse Grille the other day and y’all they’ve redecorated their fab banquet room! So anyway, they repainted it and put up some beautiful window treatments made by Simply Southern now located at Lake Oconee! Just in time for those funulicious holiday parties! Scary stuff! Madison’s Downtown Trick or Treat event is this Thursday, Oct. 29 from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m.! Get ready for thousands of ghosts, goblins and other scary monsters to descend upon downtown Madison! Yikes! Madison Main Street Director Ann Huff says all kids must be accompanied by an adult! Oh and if you need a bag to hold all your candy they’ll be givin’ ‘em away at City Hall so start there first!  Regular trick or treat will be Saturday, Oct. 31 and has to be wrapped up by 8 p.m.! Yik---es!

Rumor Train. Ding dang y’all! The Rumor Train’s done jumped the tracks! Rumor: Brooke Shields and a local Morgan County citizen shared “ugly words” at a restaurant a while back. Fact: NEVER HAPPENED! I got a call from my friend, the local citizen in question, and she told me she never even spoke to the celebrity! But, now she’s on the receiving end of nasty emails and I do mean nasty! Now that’s what I call a runaway rumor!
