Katie Lynn Greenway and Joseph A. Braselton


Katie Greenway and Jody Braselton were united in holy matrimony on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Central Community Church with Pastor Darrell Allen and Pastor Fritz Musser as officiating ministers. Songs were performed by Seth Elbe, Rory Comtois, and Jody Braselton. Music for the ceremony was played by Jimmy Kyle (keyboard) and Joel Talley (saxophone). Mr. and Mrs. Paul Robinson, friends and pastors from Bremen, prayed over the couple during the ceremony. Scripture was read by Brittany Hallowes, friend of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Alvin and Tammie Greenway of Madison. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald Greenway of Fairplay, the late Mr. Florence Head of Madison, and Mrs. Hattie Head of Madison. Jody Braselton is the son of Mrs. Sandra Braselton and the late Reverend Jerry Braselton of Lawrenceville. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Clark of Hoschton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Braselton of Lawrenceville.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white, satin A-line gown. The strapless gown had a side-draped bodice and asymmetric skirt. The bride wore a diamond bracelet given to her by her father, diamond earrings borrowed from her best friend, and a diamond cluster ring that belonged to her aunt, June Greenway, for something old. The bride’s neck was adorned with a diamond heart necklace given to her by her groom. Her arrangement of flowers consisted of white daises, blue hydrangeas, and yellow roses. The yellow roses in the bride’s bouquet & the groom’s boutonniere were in memory and honor of her aunt, Mrs. June Greenway of Madison.

The Maid of Honor was the bride’s cousin, Miss Emily Greenway of Madison. Bridesmaids were Brianna Goodman, Molly Tyree, Amanda Pickles, Emily Pritchett, Jessica Massey, Diana Jenkins, Kelly Avery, Holli Howard, Lindsay Norcom, and Katherine Vaughn. The bridesmaids wore a marine (navy) cotton sateen dress with in-seam pockets. The bridesmaids also wore a pearl necklace and pearl earrings, a gift from the bride.

Honorary Bridesmaids were Maggie Wilson, Shanna Vaughan, Cassie Tallant, Claire Pritchett, and Kaleigh Robertson (niece of groom). The honorary bridesmaids wore a champagne, tea-length dress with a sweetheart neckline. They also wore a pearl necklace, a gift from the bride.

The groom’s best friend, Jason Barrett of Lawrenceville stood as the Best Man. Groomsmen were Rory Comtois, Aaron Elbe, Noah Elbe, Seth Elbe, Emmanual Loggins, Daniel Rogan, Marty Parr, Justin Rawlins, Christopher Robertson, nephew of the groom, and Joel Greenway, brother of the bride.  The groomsmen wore traditional black tuxes with marine vests & ties. The groom’s cousins, Jesse Cronic and Lola Clark, served as the ring bearer and flower girl in the ceremony.
Guest book attendants were Miss Kerry Moore of Madison and Miss Katie Clark of Gainesville. Program Attendants were Connar Pullin, Anderson Wells, Ethan Stamps, Miss Anslyn Stamps, and Miss Becca Still, all of Madison.
The wedding was directed by the couple’s friend, Mrs. Dawn Robinson of Bremen.

Following a honeymoon trip spent in the Cayman Islands, the couple now resides in Loganville.
