Leona Alice Day and Robert Mickey James, Jr.

Reverend Judson LeRoy Day II of  Sacramento, California and Mrs. Carol Louise Sutterlin Day, of Mystic, Connecticut are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Leona Alice Day to Robert Mickey James, Jr, son of Mrs. Laura James Smith and the late Robert Mickey James, Sr. of  Madison.

 Miss Day is the granddaughter of the late Rev. Dr. LeRoy Judson Day Sr. and the late Mrs. Bette Mae Keith Day of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and the late Rev. Richard Paul Sutterlin and the late Mrs. Cora Mae Puryear Sutterlin of Aurora, Colorado. She is a 1996 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Robert E. Fitch Senior High School in Groton, CT and a 2000 Cum Laude graduate from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. She is currently employed as a Manager and Professional Bra Fitter at Zoë & Co., Professional Bra Fitters based in Westerly, Rhode Island.

Mr. James is the grandson of the late Raymond Watson Jones and Inez Collier Jones of Madison, and the late Bruce James and Mildred Annie James of Athens. He is a 2002 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Morgan County High School, a 2006  Honor graduate of Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and a minor in International Studies. He is a recent graduate of Yale Divinity School with a Master of Arts in Religion. He is currently employed as the Associate Minister of Education and Outreach at The Union Baptist Church of Mystic, Connecticut.  
The couple will wed on May 2, 2010 at The Union Baptist Church in Mystic, Connecticut and will then make their home in Mystic.
