Few-Collins Wedding

Sarah Brooks Few and Jeremy Brian Collins were united in marriage at 7 p.m., March 13, 2010 at Madison First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Kirk Bozeman officiated at the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Warren Few Jr., of Madison. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Wayne Collins of Lake Helen, Fla.

Payson Moss, pianist and organist; Stan DeJarnett, trumpeter; and Emily DeJarnett, soloist provided the nuptial music. The church sanctuary and choir loft were framed by ferns and palms. A central arched candelabrum provided candlelight as did the pillar candles placed in the center of each floral arrangement in the windows. The altar featured two large arrangements of blue hydrangea, pink and white roses, green hypericum berries, light and dark blue delphinium, pink snapdragons, white stock and Stargazer lillies.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Warren Few. She wore a white satin gown by Mikaella Bridal which featured a cross-over, strapless, draped bodice and draped, modified, A-line skirt. The gown had covered buttons the length of the chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of gardenia blooms, freesia, white lilies and roses, cascading dendrobium orchids and variegated ivy. The bouquet was tied with white silk ribbon.

Mary Frances Few Davidson, sister of the bride, served as Matron of Honor. Claire Wynne Holloway was Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Susie Few Martinson, sister of the bride, Senatobia, Miss.; Indee Russell Few, sister-in-law of the bride, Augusta; and junior bridesmaid, Emma Kate Few, niece of the bride, Augusta. Sarah Warren Davidson, niece of the bride, served as flower girl.

Honorary bridesmaids, sorority sisters of the bride at the University of Mississippi, were Germaine Lee Benoit, Jackson, Miss.; Susan Carter Hall, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mary Elizabeth Povall Jefferys, Cleveland, Miss.; Melissa Swayze Meacham, Jackson, Miss.; Ame Malloy Middleton, Blufton, S.C.; Ann Farrell Roberson, Vicksburg, Miss.; Katherine Lefoldt Shappley, Brooklyn, N.Y.; and Elizabeth Gresham Veazey, Indianola, Miss.

The groom's father, Billy Collins, served as his Best Man. Groomsmen were Joshua Andrew Bailey, Arlington, Va.; Samuel Warren Few III, brother of the bride, Augusta; Delmar W. Johnson III, Tallahassee, Fla.; David James Strysko, Fayetteville, N.C. Ushers were Charles Wesley Davidson Jr., brother-in-law of the bride, Atlanta, and Michael Ryan Yaworsky, Tallahassee, Fla. Charles Wesley Davidson III, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer. Following the ceremony, the bride's parents entertained at a reception in The Hall at the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center. The bride and groom traveled to Costa Rica for their honeymoon.

Parties held for the wedding weekend were a beautiful bridesmaids' luncheon at the home of Mrs. Carole Mason, co-hosted by Mrs. Sue Foy and a delightful post-rehearsal cocktail buffet, for out-of-town guests, held at Heritage Hall, hosted by Mrs. Patsy Baldwin, Mr. Bill Chambers, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Crawford, Dr. L.K. Lewis, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Mason, Mrs. Dottie Porter, Mrs. Joyce Thomas, Dr. Rose Ann Weaver and Mr. Russ Weaver.
