So I went to a Garden Party. Karen and Peter Wibell’s fabulous Brady Inn, an 1885 Victorian Bed & Breakfast in downtown Madison, has gotten a garden facelift! Y’all are not gonna believe your eyes when you see what Karen and Peter have been up to! Honey, let’s just say somebody’s been workin’ their bowhonkers off in the yard! I’m talkin' they have completely transformed the grounds of the Brady Inn into a paradise if there ever was one! The gardens are flat beautiful and the perfect spot for outdoor weddings, parties and celebrations! Ok so local Madisonians and master gardeners Rick Crown and Richard Simpson designed the plan and layout of the gardens while local Tripp Pickles of Southern Landscape & Design handled the installation and hardscapes! They planted I don’t know how many trees to define the plan and to screen the gardens from surrounding buildings. They also created beautiful sod paths throughout the grounds and put in a fabulous herb garden that Karen says Peter will use for cookin’ and that she’ll use for arrangements in the rooms! It’s so peaceful and beautiful, you just won’t believe you’re right smack in the middle of town! It’s just perfect for weddings because they designed and installed two Arbors that lead to the pergola or alter complete with a brick floor. Another pergola was built on the side yard perfect for receptions! Y’all! They even have a fire pit and are gonna have a wildflower garden! Don’t you just love it? Now, if y’all have an upcomin’ event or have friends comin’ to town, check out the Brady Inn at 250 North Second Street in downtown Madison. Or, they can call ‘em at 706-342-4400 or check ‘em out on the net at www.bradyinn.com!
