Ding dang dong! She’s flat done it this time! Momma! Where in the Sam Hill did you find Santa’s magic sleigh and all those fancy dance reindeer? Well I reckon Santa won’t mind a little joy ridin’! Honey we got us the Holy Grail of Holiday Rides and we’re gonna shop local all over Morgan County in high style! Move over and let me drive! Now Dasher! Now Dancer! Now, Prancer and Vixen! On Comet! On Cupid! On Donner and Blitzen! To Rutledge! To Bostwick! To Madison and Buckhead! Fly away! Fly away in this here sled!

Code Red is flat right honey! We got my handsome husband’s credit card and all the cash left in his wallet! Whoa Reindeer! Hold on Momma! We’re landin’ in Bostwick! Hey! Check out this new restaurant called The Peckin’ Place! Let’s eat before we shop! That’s right y’all! Danielle and Allan Peck of Bostwick have opened The Peckin’ Place at 5930 Highway 83 in downtown Bostwick! It’s open Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. til 2 p.m. for lunch and 5 p.m. til 8 p.m. for supper! On Saturdays it’s open from 11 a.m. til 2 p.m. for lunch and 5 p.m. til 8:30 p.m. for supper! The Peckin’ Place features daily lunch and dinner specials and good old fashioned vegetables like Momma makes! They also have really, really delish entrees like Fried or grilled Chicken Salad, Fried or Grilled Chicken Sandwich plate, Hamburger and Cheese Burger plates, Fried Bologna Sandwiches, Club sandwiches and Chicken Salad Sandwiches! Yum! Plus y’all, they’ve got a super kid’s menu and also serve a yummy Steak Plate and Catfish Plate on Friday and Saturday for dinner! And, they’re open for Sunday lunch! Y’all head over there and check it out!

Hey and while you’re in Bostwick you had best check out Argo Hall owned by Chris Argo at the beautiful Susie Agnes Hotel, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, located at 5491 Bostwick Hwy.! Y’all, this is a flat beautiful shop with fab antiques, furniture, fabric and then some! I just love it! Y’all don’t miss it! Check it out and visit www.argohall.com!

What the? Honey Retailer Extraordinaire Keith Rex moves faster than Santa on Christmas Eve! I’m talkin’ bout his Jefferson Street Consignments located at 121 W. Jefferson St., in Madison movin’ to Main Street in downtown in the old Jordie Bug location at 179 South Main Street! You heard it right and heard it first in the Buzz! Ok so Keith plans to reopen the shop in its new location on Jan. 15, 2011! But that’s not all! He’s gonna change the shop’s name and you can help him! Honey shoppin’ local is smack fantastic at Sartoria Monica located at 232 W. Washington St., in Madison right down from Town 220! Owner Monica Culqui has hand knitted, one-of-a-kind scarves, headbands, shawls and more that are sooo beautiful! Plus they are one of a kind made by Monica or her friends from Morgan County!
