Uh-oh! I’m feelin’ all funky! I’m talkin’ . . . Rastaman Vibration! Momma! Where in the Sam Hill did you get those crazy dreadlocks? I mean . . . Ding dang! Hand me one of them dreadlock wigs!  Perf! Hey and do y’all hear that beat? I’m thinkin’ this town’s goin’ all Reggae on us! Shoot fire! It’s all startin’ next Thursday, Feb. 24 from 3 p.m. ‘til 7 p.m. at Amelia’s and Barkin’ Dog Shoe Co. for their Second Annual ‘This Weather is Jamaican’ Me Crazy, Mon’ party! Hey Mon! This is gonna be fun! With Food and Prizes! OK y’all! Amelia’s owner Kim Jensen Watts and Barkin’ Dog Shoe Co. owner Vickie Hunt are gonna throw us a fantastic party! Plus they’re givin’ us 20 percent off any regularly priced item! New fun spring clothes and new lines of the best shoes in the world! Now that’s a ding-dang deal if there ever was one! I’ll see all y’all there!

But, wait! After you party at Amelia’s and Barkin’ Dog, you’ve flat gotta head smack on over to the 10th Annual Madison Antiques Show & Sale Preview Party at the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center, Thursday, Feb. 24 from 6 p.m. ‘til 9 p.m.! OK, so if you’ve never been to this fantastic event, honey you flat don’t know what you’re missin’! It’s just a beautiful party filled with fabulous and super cool people along with fantastic American Antiques and Accessories! Oh and I almost forgot! The Madison ChopHouse Grille is cookin’ up all the fantastic refreshments and the wine is being provided by Clint Buchanan and Derek Stone. OK, so really great food, fab wine, super cool antiques! I’ll be there with bells! Oh and Cultural Center Marketing Director Patricia DuBose says y’all should also plan to enjoy two free events on Friday and Saturday beginning bright ‘n early at 9:30 a.m. both days! On Friday the free event is a guided tour of the show floor led by experts! Ding dang! On Saturday, the free event is an informative talk by Kathleen Staples, research associate at Brunk Auctions in Asheville, about embroidered samplers and their unique place in history!  Right so the show starts on Friday and Saturday from 10:30 ‘til 5:30 p.m. and tickets are only $7 per person! Plus if you buy a ticket on Friday, you can get into the show on Saturday! Another ding-dang deal y’all!

Hey and y’all don’t forget! Next Saturday, Feb. 26 from 5 ‘til 8 p.m., The Meiere House, located at 270 South Main St., in Madison, is hostin’ an Open House event! You absolutely MUST check out The Meiere House and all of its beautiful, affordable antiques! It’s a fantastic addition to Morgan County!

Ella’s Sweet Shoppe located at 191 W. Jefferson St., in Madison, is flat growin’! Y’all are gonna love this! So I popped over there on Valentine’s Day to get my kids a little something super sweet and owner Lorenze Tremonti gave me a big scoop of Biz Buzz news! Ella’s now has a 4-foot custom-made portable Gelato stand that’ll hold more than 350 cups of fabulishous Italian Gelato! Talk ‘bout Gelato on the Go! This fab stand means Ella’s can now cater special events like birthdays, office parties, family reunions, baby showers, pool parties, grand openings and much, much more! Now that’s what I call a cool treat! Oh and now Ella’s can bring their great Gelato to special events like festivals! I love it!

Hey and y’all don’t forget tonight, Thursday, Feb. 17, the Morgan Fund is hostin’ a Community Service Award reception beginnin’ at 5 p.m. at the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center!  In addition to presentin’ the Community Service Award, the Morgan Fund will award grants totaling more than $31,000 to several nonprofit organizations! Ding dang y’all! I’m headin’ to that event tonight!
