Spend $25 on the 25th! That’s right y’all! We’re fixin’ to really show our support for local Morgan County merchants by shoppin’ local on March 25! Here’s what Momma wants all y’all to do: Spend $25 on March 25 with one of the following local businesses for a chance to win $100 big bucks! Ok so the participating’ businesses are: Amelia's, Barkin' Dog Shoe Co., Godfrey Cox, Laughing Moon, Madison ChopHouse Grille, Madison Markets, Madison Produce, Just out of the Kloset Consignments, The Silver Fox, Tequila Express and Youngblood Motors! All you’ve gotta do is pop into one or more of these businesses on March 25 and spend your $25! Then you take your receipt, print your name and phone number on the back and bring it over to the Morgan County Citizen by Thursday, March 31 and we’ll pull a winner outta of the pot! Now I know exactly what my handsome husband is gonna do on March 25th! He’s gonna head smack over to Youngblood Motors and buy Biz Buzz that FANCY DANCE blue Mustang convertible! It’s only $20,000! I mean what a ding dang deal! I can just see myself drivin’ all ‘round town in that fab car! Can’t wait y’all! I mean I do need somethin’ sensible to deliver newspapers in, don’t ya think? This shoppin’ local business is right fun!

Y’all will flat never guess who’s comin’ to town! Give up? Ok I’ll tell it! JK Linens is openin’ its first retail shop in Madison! That’s right y’all! I gave Chris Pegram a call to get y’all the scoop and nothin’ but! Here goes! Ok . . .Chris says that are openin’ a full-line linen shop carrying their own brand Courtney Allison Platinum Collection with 1,200-count sheets! Yes! I said 1,200! Have you EVER in your LIFE? I mean I didn’t even know anybody made 1,200-count sheets! Ding dang! But, the best part is they’re like uber affordable! That’s because they designed their own line and import directly from the manufacturer! Ain’t no middle man drivin’ up the price y’all! Yay! We can buy JK’s fancy dance linens and pay like discount prices! Ok so JK Linens has a warehouse and office in Conyers and they occasionally open it to the public but this is their very first retail shop! This new shop is gonna sell bed linens, duvet covers, towels, down comforters, bath robes, slippers, bath mats . . . I’m talkin’ loads ‘o linens! Can’t wait! Why Madison? Well, Chris says: “I love Madison and hope to be moving their shortly. It’s absolutely beautiful! There are not many places like Madison left.” You got that right Chris! We flat can’t wait to welcome you, your family and your business into our community!

Bella Madison located at 137 South Main St., in downtown Madison at the corner of Main and West Washington is flat OPEN FOR BUSINESS! Ok y’all . . . So I popped in there on Monday to get all the Buzz and ended up shoppin’! That’s ‘cause they have some really, really cool stuff that I flat just had to have immediately! Like Jishakiu - a game you play with magnets! I’m flat addicted! Ok I know it’s for kids but I’m keepin’ it for me! It’s that fun! Oh and owner Diane McElhannon is sellin’ fabulous soaps, jewelry, handbags, lifelike baby dolls and more!

And, honey one of the most popular items she’s sellin’ the famous Michael Davenport paintings! They’re mostly University of Georgia themed paintings! They are flat flyin’ off the wall! Oh and she’s got these great masks so you can scare Momma into next week! Y’all she even has sweet little tea sets those baby girls just love to pieces! This is such a cool shop! Y’all check it out immediately!

Got a Hero? Get a Make-Over! The Spa at the James Madison is celebratin’ its second anniversary by looking for community heroes with its Beauty is as Beauty Does campaign. The Spa wants y’all to nominate someone in your life  who deserves a complete and luxurious makeover . . . someone like The Biz Buzz!  Right so four finalists will be identified and will receive a full makeover! In April, the community at large will be able to vote for the grand prize winner out of the four finalists by donating a dollar for each vote at the Spa, Town 220 or at The James Madison Inn. And, honey that grand prize includes a stay at the James Madison Inn, dinner at Town 220 and spa services at The Spa at the James Madison!
