Dr. William D. Moore Jr. and Amber Forrester Moore

Dr. William D. Moore, Jr. and Amber Forrester Moore are pleased to announce their marriage on May 7, 2011. The wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Laseter on Pierce Dairy Road, Madison. Their immediate families were gathered for a Mother's Day cookout, when Judge Charles Merritt, Jr. arrived and announced to everyone, "You all thought you were coming to a picnic, but actually, you have come to a wedding!" After the shock of the surprise, everyone gathered under the huge oak tree and Judge Merritt performed the ceremony.
The bride-elect arrived in a one-shouldered, floor-length gown of beige lace over white satin. A wide ribbon of beige satin was tied at her waist. Her veil was made of fine netting and attached by a pearl broach. Her bouquet consisted of an arrangement of calla lilies bound by a gold ribbon. She was given in marriage by her father, Steve Forrester, after walking up the driveway "aisle."
The groom had arrived for the picnic several hours earlier in picnic attire, and then changed to a beige and white seersucker suit just prior to the surprise announcement.
After the ceremony, Jimmy and Ad Laseter provided a delicious meal of barbecued chicken and "fixins." Rae Merritt, wife of Judge Merritt, provided a beautiful wedding cake adorned with live flowers, and displayed it with crystal plates and silver forks.
