Get up Momma! It’s time to Shop Train! I’m talkin’ we’ve gotta briskly walk all ‘round town in less than 10 minutes and spot 10 Christmas gifts in the windows at the same time! It can be done! Ding dang! We did it! I proclaim that we are flat ready for Local Christmas Shoppin'! That’s right y’all! Now repeat after me: I do solemnly swear, upon my Momma’s good health, that I will shop local in Morgan County for every single Christmas gift! Done!
Right so y’all we can flat start this Local Christmas Shoppin’ TONIGHT! That’s right y’all! I said: TONIGHT at Barkin’ Dogs Shoe Co. and at Amelia’s located at 172 South Main Street in downtown Madison! OK so y’all check out the ad in this week’s paper, and take it with you from 4 p.m. 'til 8 p.m., write your wish list down and flat give it to your handsome husband or to Santa himself! Ding dang Do-Ho-Ho! Yes! I love, love, love those Girls’ Night Out parties! I’ll see all ya’ll there tonight!
What the? Wes Holt, of Sunflower Farm fame, wanted me to tell all y’all to head over to the Sunflower Farm on 1430 Durden Road while you’re celebratin’ Christmas in the Country in Rutledge this weekend ‘cause it’s time for The Big Sale and Sharecropper’s Country Market at the Sunflower Farm Friday, Nov. 18, Saturday, Nov. 19, and Sunday, Nov. 20! Wes flat told me we’ll find one-of-a-kind, locally grown Christmas gifts from Madison Locally Grown includin’ jams and jellies, fresh cut greenery and décor items, natural wreaths, miniature live Christmas trees, fire starter baskets with fatwood and scented pinecones as well as antiques and collectables and local art! Oh my gosh y’all! Maxine Nabors and her son, John, have been flat busier than Santa’s Elves at the North Pole! I ain’t tellin’ no lie y’all! I popped over to the Madison Flea Market located in the Big Red Building at 1291 Eatonton Road in Madison and honey, it was just a poppin’ like hot corn over there! Talk ‘bout deals, deals, deals and more deals! Right, so Maxine wanted me to tell all y’all to get off your bow honkers and check out the new, remodeled Madison Flea Market ‘cause now honey it’s flat better than it’s ever been! Yes! Oh and they’re gonna have an Open House event Dec. 1, 2, 3 and 4 that coincides with the Chamber’s fantastic Holiday Tour! Now listen y’all, they’ve got 90 dealers and 15,000 square feet of space! Oh and Maxine says there’s still space available so give ‘em a call at (706) 343-0100 if you’re interested! Honey they’ve something for everyone – antiques, collectables, art, accessories, tools, even a booth that buys and sells your gold and silver! Now that’s what I’m talkin’ ‘bout! If y’all haven’t heard by now, honey you’d better listen up: Godfrey Cox Events is flat hostin’ another soiree! Honey I’m talkin’ ‘bout the event with designer and author James T. Farmer on Wednesday, Dec. 7, from noon until 2 p.m. at Town 220 restaurant in Madison! OK, here’s the deal: Lunch and a complimentary glass of wine and a personally signed copy of James Farmer’s new book: "A Time To Plant!" Plus James is gonna do a demonstration and there’s gonna be a raffle of a one-of-a-kind arrangement created by James himself!
