Madison businessowner thankful to DiRocco, city council’s Diletto for removal of impact fees
To the Editor:
I am writing to publicly commend and thank David DiRocco of Rema Tip Top and Joe Diletto, our freshman city councilman, for their work on behalf of new and growing businesses within the city of Madison. Having recently been required to pay impact fees assessed for expanding our business, Madison Family Medicine, into a new building the footprint of which was not altered, Dan Zant and I can attest that such imposition felt punitive rather than supportive. Small businesses with the intention of hiring new employees or giving more support to local non-profits do have to put off such expenditures because impact fees impact their already tight budgets. We appreciate the input of city management, fellow business owners, especially Mr. DiRocco, and the mayor and city council who spent long hours and great energy evaluating this important issue which Councilman Diletto made a top priority early in his term.
Sincerely,
Pamela Hall
