Health doesn’t equate to broccoli
To the Editor:
It is surprising to hear Supreme Court Justices. the people appointed for life to MAKE DECISIONS for US, make the comparison of buying MEDICAL CARE to buying BROCCOLI. This was a silly and child-like comparison when it comes to LIFE or DEATH situations for some AMERICAN CITIZENS.
These Justices and all of Congress are GIVEN (by the government) the best and cheapest health care possible, so why should the JUSTICES and CONSERVATIVES be concerned about medical care for the less fortunate? Because they are FELLOW AMERICANS.
If the conservatives don't want to buy medical insurance, then don't make them buy it, but it should be available for those who want and need it. Don't take away the pre existing condition clause or the cancellation clause. There are many good parts of this OBAMA HEALTH CARE PLAN. Take it away and many may die.
Emergency rooms will diagnose a medical problem, but they WILL NOT AND CANNOT TREAT LONG TERM ILLNESSES LIKE CANCER.
It is amazing how many poor and middle class CONSERVATIVES think so little of their medical care and freedom or helping their FELLOW AMERICANS.
