Noble Hankins Cripe

Noble Hankins Cripe, 89, of Madison died Friday, April 27, 2012 at her home in Madison.  She was married in 1945 to William R. Cripe who predeceased her on July 18, 1999.
Mrs. Cripe was born in the Crossville Community, Alabama, the daughter of the late John F. and Annie Justice Hankins and lived in Vernon, Alabama.  She served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and then lived in Lafayette, Indiana until her retirement from the Lafayette School Corporation in 1977 when she and her husband moved to Lake Hartwell in Georgia.
She is survived by a son, John Perry Cripe, of Jefferson, a daughter, Nancy C. Kurtz, of Madison and one grand-daughter, Anne Marie Kurtz, of Covington.
