Katie Lucile Sidwell Godwin, 79, of Madison died  April 22, 2012. She was born in Morgan County on May 8, 1932 to the late Alfonza Botch Sidwell and the late Elouise Coplean Sidwell.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Jesse Stephens of Madison; sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Shirley Godwin, Don Godwin and Mike and Teresa Godwin all of Madison; sisters and brother-in-law, Vivian Fergason of Madison, Nettie and Jimmy Goodson of Macon; brothers and sisters-in-law, Grady and Troyce Sidwell of Madison, J.T. and Janet Sidwell of Eatonton; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, April 24 at 2 p.m. at Apalachee Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Pritchett and Rev. Allan Cagle officiating. Please sign the guestbook online at www.meadowsfuneralhomeinc.com
