City council member appreciative of input vis-à-vis development
To the Editor:
I would like to thank all the concerned people of Madison that participated in the mayor and council meeting Monday, April 23. The senior housing wishes of the DDA are something that Madison needs and would be beneficial. As with more government projects, the road to completion will be long and winding. There will be many opportunities for all those interested to have input. As an elected official I will balance my personal opinion with those of the people.
I do feel that whatever ends up in on the corner of College and North Main must be something of which we are proud. I have confidence that the community, the DDA and the city staff will come up with something exciting. I hope it will be some place that I would choose to live. After all in the final analysis that is the litmus test.
Please continue to provide input and opinions. I look forward to your energy and suggestions. The area will be developed somehow by someone let’s make sure it works for everyone.
