Louise Tumlin Hanes
Louise Tumlin Hanes, 82, wife of Carl Jackson Hanes, died Monday, May 14, 2012.
A native of Tucker, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Fulton and Julia Teagle Tumlin. She was a longtime member of the Fairview Community in Morgan County, member of the Eastern Star, Winterville First Baptist Church and a homemaker. Mrs. Hanes was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and always thought of others before herself.
In addition to her husband of 61 ½ years, Carl Jackson Hanes, survivors include three children: Julia Evelyn Hanes of Winterville, Carla Suzanne Hanes Washington of Crawford, Charles Jackson “Chuck” Hanes of Madison; brother: Curtis Jackson “Jackie” Tumlin of Nahunta; sister: Betty Frank Tumlin Williams of Madison; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 12 p.m. at Winterville Cemetery with Rev. Phil Wages officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
