Herbert Malcom Jr., 80, of Bostwick died April 18, 2012. He was the son of Archibald Herbert Malcom Sr. and Lizzie Maude Ruark Malcom. He was born Aug. 24, 1931 in Miami, Florida. The family soon moved back to Bostwick. He was married to the late Jessie Lou Peek. Mr. Malcom was a farmer, raising cotton and cattle. He was a member of Bostwick United Methodist Church. He was a former member of the ASCS board. He enjoyed the coffee club in Bostwick. He loved his family and farming.
Mr. Malcom is survived by his children Butch Malcom and Angela, Pam Whitney and Buddy, Diane Malcom, Penny Maxwell and Ronnie and Damon Malcom and Renee. His surviving sisters are Ona Nunn and John and Jeannine Wilkins; his grandchildren are Justin and Melissa Malcom, Riley Malcom, Scott and Marie Hayes, Joshua Hayes, Wesley and Chelsea Hayes, Michelle and Joseph Hobbs, Blake and Betsy Ruark, Jesse and Larissa Ruark, Emma and Toby Ledford, Amanda Maxwell, Leah Malcom and Matt Malcom; and five great-grandchildren.
The graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 19 at Bostwick Cemetery. Rev. Doug Jordan officiated.
