Claudella Young Conner, 87, of Madison passed away May 31, 2012. She was born to the late Joseph and Amanda Homer Young on Jan. 5, 1925 in Pickens County. She was a member of Beacon Heights Baptist Church where she was very active. She was employed for 40 years as a seamstress with Morgan Sportswear. Mrs. Conner loved to garden as well as spending time with her family.
Mrs. Conner is survived by her two sons Richard Conner and Beverly and Bruce Conner and Donna, both of Madison; by her grandchildren Matt and Charlie Conner, Emily Conner and Allen Conner, and two great-grandchildren Brittni Green and Aynslee Conner. She was preceded in death by her husband John Conner.
The family received friends at A. E. Carter Funeral Home Saturday, June 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. The service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 3 in the Chapel at A. E. Carter Funeral Home. Interment followed at Madison City Cemetery.
