Nelle Rosencrance Leachmon, 96, formerly of Madison, died June 21, 2012 at Social Circle Nursing and Rehab. She was the daughter of George and Sally Bruce Rosencrance. She was born April 8, 1916 in Buckhead.  She was married to the late Sanders C. Leachmon, Jr.  Mrs. Leachmon was a homemaker and a member of Beacon Heights Baptist Church.  She loved to read and garden as long as she was able. She enjoyed time spent with family.  She will be remembered as "Aunt Nelle" by the many children she baby-sat in her home.
Mrs. Leachmon is survived by her children, Judith Green and Paul of Social Circle, James Leachmon of Watkinsville and Joe Leachmon and Claudine of Bostwick; five grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband Sanders Leachmon and two sons, John S. Leachmon and Jerry B. Leachmon. 
A graveside service was held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Fairview Cemetery. Rev. Nelson Goddard officiated.
A. E. Carter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangement.
