Oscar Thomas “O.T.” Hanson Jr.
Oscar Thomas “O. T.” Hanson, Jr., 59, of Toccoa, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at his home.
Born August 29, 1952 in Athens, he was the son of Beatrice Booth Hanson and the late Oscar Thomas Hanson, Sr.
He was of the Baptist Faith and was a pharmacist with Rite Aid for 29 years.
Family members include his wife, Glenda Fuller Hanson; daughters and a son-in-law, Brittany and Steve Stone; and Megan Booth Hanson; grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Bledsoe, Madeline Grace Bledsoe, and Nicholas Baron Stone.
A private funeral service was held Monday at the Whitlock Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. David Ritcey officiating.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 9, at the Madison City Cemetery, Madison with Dr. Charles Smith and Dr. Jim Ross officiating. Family and friends are welcome to attend. Burial will follow.
The following gentlemen served as pallbearers, Bradley Hall, Tyler Addison, Alton Addison, Eric Addison, Brent Farrar, Jake Cheek, and Tony Veasley.
The family received friends at the mortuary from 4 pm until 8 pm Saturday, July 7.
Flowers are optional. Those desiring may make memorials to the church or charity of your choice.
Whitlock Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
