Walter Reid (W.R.)  Long, age 64, of Madison, died on June 29, 2012. He was born in Thomaston, Ga., on December 26, 1947 to Henry "Grady"  Long and the late Marion Virginia Alsbrooks Long.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Long of Madison; father, Henry "Grady" Long of Madison; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Shannon Long, Keith and Deidra Long all of Madison, sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Tommy Humphries of Winder; brother and sister in law, Ronnie and Chris Long of Madison; grandchildren, Hunter Long, Haleigh Long, Taylor Long, Thomas Long, and Tyler Long.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 3,  at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Margaret Adams and the Rev. Mike Pritchett officiating.
Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
