Minona “Polly” Woodruff, formerly of Sardis, died Thursday, July 12, 2012. She was born June 8, 1920 to the late Jessie Reese and Theola Duckwork Reese in Warren County. Mrs. Woodruff was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was also a member of Sardis Garden Club and Sardis Women’s Club. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from GCSU. She was a teacher and a homemaker.

Mrs. Woodruff is survived by her son, Dr. Adrian Woodruff Jr., and Beth and a daughter Gail Woodruff Thurman and Jim; grandchildren, nieces and nephew, and a sister, Mary Culbreath.

A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 14 in the Chapel of A.E. Carter Funeral Home. Interment was held at the Sardis Cemetery.
