Granddaughter’s surgery is successful

We have gotten some much-needed rain this past week. Praise God! I’ve been up at my daughter’ house helping out with my granddaughter Ja’Nya. She had surgery and is doing fine seem as if she never had surgery. She never stops going. I am not complaining it has been a blessing for her mom and me. God is good. Also Mone't celebrated her 21st birthday, July 6. I was there also to celebrate her becoming a young lady. I guess I will realize that she is grown but she will always be my lLil’granddaughter to me.

Before I left to go to my daughter’s I went by Green Glade Farm and got some of that good corn. I put up corn and more corn. I was glad to get a break from corn but it will be so good come those cold days we some times have in the winter months. If you noticed I did say some time because we didn’t have much of a winter last year. Only God knows about this one.

Thank you Sister A for the news notes.

Sunday was our pastor’s birthday. Happy birthday Pastor T. hope you have many more. Praise God!
The choir sang one of my favorite, “I’ll never let go of His hand.’ The chanters for God’s word came forward and they all did real good. Master Gerald Woodridge Jr. got a standing ovation for his favorite scripture. God was really using him in quoting his favorite scripture. Keep reading God’s word Gerald. Praise God. Our pastor came forth using Malachi 3 for a few minutes then he went to Luke 22: 31-32 subject, “Don’t forget what the Lord has done for you.” In Pastor T’s. sermon he said we are going to have many challenges but God said I will never leave you nor forsake you. There are times we all will go through some sort of test. The test will prove to say who you are. Satan is out there to get you, but with faith you can turn to God and his strength will build you up enough to defeat him. Don’t forget what the Lord has done for you. The Lord has done so much for me I can’t tell it all. Nothing will keep me from following Jesus. When the Lord has blessed some with cars, money, houses and etc. they stop serving the Lord. They become possessed with the luxury of knowing God did it. I guess they forgot how they came about it. He has blessed you now you need to bless someone else. Praise God.

We all wish Lois Harper a speedy recovery; also my Dad.

I have many hummingbirds. I can’t keep the feeders full I have to fill them everyday. It’s also grass-cutting time again. I had not cut any in a while due to the hot weather and no rain.

Condolences goes out to Brother Joseph and Mother Elaine Atkinson in the loss of Brother Joseph’s mother.
