Sunday morning the attendance was good even though we had several members out due to reunions, sickness, outings and family needs. We just want everyone to know you are missed when you are not at church. The visitors were welcomed and we are thankful they choose our church to visit. We pray they were blessed and will allow God to direct their paths each day, as they are faithful to come and worship with as. Special music was by the men’s choir, “I love to tell the Story.” Another special was “This is just what Heaven means to me,” by Adele Shiver.
We welcomed Rev. and Mrs. Ron Long as they visited our church Sunday. They travel to many countries each year through missions reaching out to the people by training and equipping them to reach their own people for Christ. He said the message for all churches today to be aware, the devil will place people in the church to cause trouble. He also said the church as a whole was falling away from the truth. He said look to Jesus not people, preachers, etc. Jesus is the only way. Brother Long’s message, “Genuine Believer”, Jude 1: 2, 12. As a genuine believer who are we? We are called by the Holy Spirit of God, a sinner saved by grace, beloved by God. What we have is a relationship with God because we have mercy, peace of the spirit of God, troublemakers does not have peace within themselves and love because He first loved us and we demonstrate love one for another. As Christians in the churches we need to go out and reach the lost. We are representatives of the Lord Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. There is nothing we can do to make Jesus love us anymore or any less.
Sunday night at 6 p.m. attendance was good in adults, youth and children. We did have visitors we thank God they came we pray they were blessed and encouraged by coming and will come be with us again. The Whosoever Will group brought the special singing. Brother Ron’s message, John 1, “Records Titles of Jesus Christ.” “Names of Jesus,” some people say The Word, Light of Men, Only begotten Son, Lamb of God, Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth, King of Israel and Son of God are just some of them. All scripture inspired by God. God will never undo what He has done.
