Early voting for Bohlen-Clack run-off election ends Friday
By Kathryn Schiliro
The run-off election for the District 3 seat on the Morgan County Board of Commissioners (BOC) is set for Tuesday, Aug. 21.
Because neither of the Republican candidates for the post – incumbent Mack Bohlen nor Philip Clack – won more than 50 percent of the vote in the Primary Election last month, a run-off will be held to determine the winner. In the Primary Election, Bohlen had 48.53 percent of the vote (413 votes) while Clack came in with 36.55 percent (311 votes).
Residents of District 3 who plan to vote in this run-off election may vote at their respective precinct on Aug. 21 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The five precincts involved in this election are Madison West, West Morgan, Rutledge, Bostwick and Apalachee.
District 3 residents who wish to vote early have until this Friday, Aug. 17 to do so. Early voting for the run-off is held at the Morgan County Board of Elections office at 434 Hancock Street in Madison between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
