Senior class wins pancakes

About ready to begin another month – can't believe how 2012 is slipping away.
We began at the Sunday School hour and had  a delicious breakfast prepared for the Senior Sunday School Class, the winner of the Food Pantry Drive. Thanks to the classes that participated in making a great breakfast complete with pancakes and all the extras. It was enjoyed by all.
Always good to be in the Lord's house on Sunday. And with visitors, special singing, it's just "special" to me.
Butch spoke to us from Acts 3:1-11 about salvation, how the man got healed, how the spirit was healed from a sinful nature. Before we were saved, do you realize that we were an enemy of God? If you are not saved, your prayers are not heard by God. When we are saved, we have a new walk, a new talk and a new desire to change completely internally. He separated me and set me apart, made time for me to serve Him better.
On Sunday night Butch brought his sermon from 2nd John. Then afterwards we enjoyed cake and ice cream for the birthdays and anniversaries for the month of August.
Our LIFT ladies will be meeting on Monday night to make plans for upcoming events.
It's not too late to join us on Tuesday nights for the classes sponsored by Antioch Bible College. It begins a little after 7 p.m. and is being taught by our pastor. There is no charge unless you want college credit.
Anniversary blessings for Betty and Cliff Walker, also Ginny and Danny Bell who will celebrate on Sept. 1. Happy birthday to Tina Higdon on the 5, for Charles Johnson and Eurtiss Hamilton on the 6 and for Lisa Allen on the 10.
Everything starts with faith. Faith causes us to see good things in the future, and because of this we develop a vision of success and prosperity in life.
So until next week, may the Lord bless you real good.
