Amelie Tabb

Amelie Tabb, formerly of Madison, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2012 in the presence of her family in Santa Rosa, Calif., where she had lived since March 2011. She was born on October 5, 1922, to Elise and Nicolas Simon in Esch/Alzette, Luxembourg. She lived there until she met her late husband Robert TabB towards the end of World War II, when his military company liberated her hometown from German occupation. They were married on January 21, 1946.  "Millie" was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, needlepoint, German music and traveling and living in many different places during the course of Robert's Air Force career as a chaplain. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Bonnie Mason and Forrest of Madison; Debbie Cerri of Santa Rosa, Calif.; Ronn Tabb and Michelle of Hendersonville, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The memorial service was held at the Daniel Chapel of the Roses Funeral Home in Santa Rosa, Calif., on August 27.
