This past Tuesday, volunteers for the Children Ferst Foundation of Morgan County delivered a free copy of the book Alphabet Under Construction to each of the 248 children currently enrolled in kindergarten at the Morgan County Primary School.
Dr. Wayne Myers, the president of the Children Ferst Foundation of Morgan County said, “Today is just the first.” The Foundation plans to deliver one book to each of the kindergarteners each month of the school year, a total of 10 months. The books chosen each month are recommended by the kindergarten staff.
Any child under the age of five in Morgan County qualifies to receive a free book each month by enrolling in the Children Ferst Foundation program. To enroll, visit the Foundation’s website, www.ferstfoundation.org, or email Dr. Myers at wayne.myers@morgan.k12.ga.us.
