Mamie Ruth Lemons

Funeral services for Mamie Ruth Lemons, 94, of Eufaula, Alabama were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Eufaula. Dr. Ken Bush officiated. Graveside  service and prayer were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2 at Crest Lawn Cemetery in Atlanta with Chapman Funeral Home of Eufaula directing. Mrs. Lemons died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama.
She was born June 22, 1918 in Gainesville, the daughter of the late Charles Thomas and Chester Octavia Crow Willard. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Eufaula. She was married to the late Rev. David Lemons, former pastor of Buckhead Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children Carmen (Pierce) Morris of Atlanta, Sandra (Doug) Bailey of Blue Ridge, Patricia Thorpe of Dunwoody, Dianne Earls and the late Charles Earls of Madison, Darlene (Bob) Moore of Eufaula, Ala., eight grandchildren, Risa Matthew, Kirk Bailey, Jeff Bailey, Mark Bailey, Angela Earls, Anthony Earls, Rob Moore, Heather Beyler; 12 great-grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were Don McKinnon, Pierce Morris, Graham Wilson, Bob Beyler, David Williams and David Dozier.
