Fall officially begins the 22nd
What a beautiful and pleasant Sunday afternoon. Seems like one of those fall days, which we hope to have many more like today after the 22nd of this month. That’s when Fall officially begins. If you can remember we never seem to have had Spring this year we went from a mild winter into a hot summer. It might be the same from summer to winter. The Bible stated we would not be able to tell one season from the other before the end of time. I guess the end of time is approaching and we must all get our house in order before the return of Christ. We know not the day nor hour He will appear.
Thank you Sis. A. for keeping our readers informed on the happening at the Springs while I was our of town for a few days. I enjoyed myself and my son was with me also. He needed a break from his job. Sometime we all need a break from the hustle and rushing all the time.
We had good worship service Sunday with a full house. Our Senior Deacons and Choir did an awesome job.
Our pastor brought a beautiful sermon this morning coming from the book of Psalms – Psalms 1:1-3. Text “Watch Yourself.” You must know to conduct ourselves and who to conduct ourselves to. God wants all his children to prosper and be blessed. You can not follow the advise of the wicked or stand around with sinners nor sit in the seat of the scornful. You have to change the company you are with if you want to be blessed. But they delight in doing everything the Lord wants day and night and think about His love. Open the book and start reading and meditating on the Word and God will start sharing it with you. They are like trees planted by the riverbank bearing each fruit each season without fail. Their leaves will never wither and in all they do they prosper.
In your season you will grow, may not today, tomorrow or next year in Isaiah 40: 31. It said but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary. Just keep on serving the Lord and by serving God is by serving others. Thank you Lord. Prosper in the third verse it also means you will prosper, your family will prosper, your health will begin to get better. Speak to God your word so He can speak back to you. Say to God speak Lord I’m your servant I will listen and obey. Praise the Lord. Thank you Pastor T. for the Word teaching and preaching so all could get a clear understanding.
Last Sunday the Olivers had their family day at Heritage Park. Many came from far and near. We had a great time. My Dad was able to be with us for a while. Praise the Lord. We had a great time meeting and greeting family that we hadn’t seen in a long time. A big thank you to the ones that prepared the delicious food so that we could enjoy ourselves. Hats off to you all. Job well done.
