Eighth grader charged with bringing prescription drugs to middle school

An eighth grade student at Morgan County Middle School was arrested last Wednesday and charged with possession of Loritab and prescription drugs not in their original container.
According to Morgan County Sheriff's Office reports, the 13-year-old female was arrested by a school resource officer after she allegedly produced a half tablet of suspected Loritab during an interview with school and sherriff's office officials.
Reports state that the girl told officials she had received the partial pill by a male student while riding a school bus. The girl was charged and released to the custody of her mother.
Officers located the suspected male student and a search was performed with negative results for narcotics.
