George Douglas Stephens, 59 of Westfield, North Carolina died Monday, October 29,2012 at his home. He was born February 8, 1953 in Morgan County to the late Howard Monroe Stephens and Yvonne Millwood Stephens. In addition to his parents Mr. Stephens was preceded in death by two brothers, John Stephens of Social Circle and Charles Stephens of Rutledge.
Survivors include six sisters, Lois (Ray) Knight and Cathy Beal of Rutledge, Thelma Pentecost and Gail Stephens of Madison, Sandra Stephens of Westfield, North Carolina and Mary Sue (Barry) Nunley of Bedford, Virginia; three brothers Tony (Sally) Stephens of Madison, Dale (Joan) Stephens of Social Circle and Guy Stephens of Covington.
Funeral services were held at A.E. Carter Funeral Home at 11a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery.
A. E. Carter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
