After the first two meets of the season, Coach Mark Roper thinks that the team is off to a great start. The second place finish at this past weekend’s tournament is indicative of the team’s progress.
“Last year we did not place in the tournament,” remarked Coach Roper. “The team worked hard and everyone contributed to our success. Every wrestler shower improvement.”
According to Roper, the team’s position in their league should only improve.
“We are one of the strongest teams in our league and we want to build off this weekend’s tournament to try and finish in the top spot every week.”
The team’s next tournament, the Redskin Rumble, is scheduled to begin this Saturday at 7:30 a.m. in Social Circle.
