Tevin Waller, junior at the Morgan County High School and defensive end on the varisty football team, has been selected to participate in the 2012 RisingSeniors.com Georgia Junior Bowl.
The RisingSeniors.com program is a five-day leadership program that aids 90 high school junior football players from Georgia in transitioning between high school and college.
The program, which will last from Dec. 27-31 this year will culminate in the AT&T Georgia Junior Bowl Game on Dec. 31 at Grady Stadium in Atlanta.
RisingSeniors.com is in its third year of operation this year. The program before the bowl game assists high school football players in developing life skills and character by having sessions on SAT preparation, financial literacy, and alternate careers in sports.
RisingSeniors.com has had great placement success with its program, including 67 players from their first class making the move to playing Division I athletics and 75 athletes from the second class being offered Division I scholarships.
“I’m real happy for Tevin,” said Coach Malone upon hearing about Waller being chosen.
“Tevin is a really good kid, and he is very deserving, not only athletically, but on a personal level.”
