Michael Dale Bishop, 40, of Madison died December 2, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospice. He was the son of Michael Bishop and Nita Callaway Bishop. He was born in Greensboro on April 2, 1972. He was a carpenter by trade. He enjoyed arts and crafts and anything creative. He was a talented musician, playing the guitar and writing music. He also enjoyed all sorts of outdoor activities from grilling to white water rafting.
Mr. Bishop is survived by his parents Nita Bishop and Paul and Michael Bishop and Missy; a sister Christy Cobb and Dusty; two brothers Dusty Bishop and Christy and Ryan Bishop and Shelly; nieces and nephews Ashley Weaver and Cedric, Thomas Phelps, Grace Phelps, Emily Phelps, Jayden Weaver, Camden Weaver and Harmony Weaver.
The family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at A. E. Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow at the Almand Cemetery.
