MMH receives three awards

Morgan Memorial Hospital received recognition for several accomplishments during the November meeting of the Morgan County Hospital Authority.
Chairman Terry Evans congratulated Vice Chairman Sarah Burbach and Secretary Mary Ellen Shannon for receiving trustee certification through the Georgia Hospital Association. The three of them – Evan received certification, too – will be honored at the GHA conference in January.
CEO Ralph Castillo reported that the hospital staff received an award from the Georgia Hospital Association for “Outstanding Workplace Safety,” which he said is a testament to employee health and nursing leadership.
The Business Office received an “Outstanding Education Award” from HomeTown Health for having 120 percent certification rate in 2012.
CIO Patrick Cook received a “CIO of the Year” award from HomeTown Health.
