MCMS extended their perfect record against league teams this week with victories against Washington-Wilkes and Social Circle.
The team’s 6-0 record places them high in the standings, although they still must face off against Elbert County, a league opponent, on January 8.
The league tournament, will take place on January 12 at George Walton Academy.
Over the weekend, the Morgan County Middle School’s wrestling team traveled to Monticello for the Jasper County Duals.
In the competition, Morgan County competed against Monticello, Greene County, Crawford, Union Grove, Jones County, and Henderson County.
Morgan County beat Union Grove in the finals in what Coach Mark Roper described as a “close match.”
This week, the MCMS wrestling team took on Commerce Middle School in a dual at the Morgan County High School gym. The results of that dual will be posted in next week’s edition.
