Henry Knight Bohlen, Jr. passed from this life at his home in Tallahassee, Florida on December 13, 2012 at age 97. He was proceeded in death by his loving wife Annie Doris Atkinson Bohlen of 64 years. Mr. Bohlen is survived by his daughters Mary Lucile Bohlen of Statesville, NC and Deborah Bohlen of Tallahassee along with five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Mr. Bohlen was the son of Henry Knight Bohlen, Sr. and Lucile Flynt Bohlen of Madison and Richmond, Va.
He was the grandson of his beloved Sally Maddux Bohlen of Madison. Many of his childhood days were spent in Madison with her and his Uncle Maddux Bohlen. Mr. Bohlen and the late Wilbur Bohlen, Sr. were first cousins. When our family visited Madison, my father would always go to the Bohlen Garage to see his cousins or stop by to see cousin Della Mae. I remember my father spoke well of Wilbur Jr. and Mack saying they were “fine boys.”  Both my parents thought Della Mae was so gracious and a wonderful hostess.
Madison holds dear memories for our family and it was my father's wish to place this notice in the local paper. Peace to him and to all the Bohlens that have gone before him.
