She married Dewey Hiram Richardson on October 26, 1951 and the couple has been married for the past 61 years.  She was a home-maker and also worked for the Morgan County Board of Education for many years.

Mrs. Richardson was a faithful, long-time member of Centennial Baptist Church and played an integral role in the life of her church as the church librarian and a member of the sanctuary choir.  A member of several mission teams, Mrs. Richardson was passionate about sharing the love of Christ with people.  Some of her fondest memories were of time spent in Jamaica forging bonds with her team members and sharing the love of Jesus with new Jamaican friends.

Wilburn Hill officiating.  Pall bearers were Brett Richardson, Taylor Richardson, Ben Lindsey, Keith Kelly, Wes Berg, and Tim Reed.  The graveside service and internment followed at the Rutledge City Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Mission Fund of Centennial Baptist Church.
