Steffen Wolfgang Thomas, Jr., 78, loving father and husband, passed away unexpectedly January 8, 2013.  He was predeceased by his parents, Steffen Thomas, Sr. and Sara Thomas. 
He is survived by his wife, Betty Rives Thomas; daughters Susan Thomas Weibel and Lynn Thomas Tate; son-in-law Clay Weibel; grandchildren Jason, Drew and Anna Weibel and Jessica and Stephanie Tate; siblings Robin Thomas Burnett, Douglass Thomas and Lisa Thomas Conner. 
Service was held at A.E. Carter Funeral home, 1670 Atlanta Hwy, Madison, GA on Friday, January 11, at 2 p.m.  Visitation was held prior to the service at 11 a.m. 
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Joseph’s Coat of the Episcopal Church of the Advent, 338 Academy Street, Madison, GA 30650 or to the Steffen Thomas Museum and Archives, 4200 Bethany Rd, Buckhead, GA 30625.
