Several members of the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) of Madison came together last Thursday to hear updates.
City Planning Director Monica Callahan said that they have had interest in the pink building of the Gilmore property located at 473 Burney St.
She noted that it may be as cost effective to tear down the pink building as it would be to redo it.
Callahan shared details of the multi-phase project for the property: Phase I will include building a new building where the pink building is located and Phase II will include working on the main building.
She added that she has had to purchase two replacement aluminum chairs for Town Park as well as sold the last bench plaque.
