On the Lord and recent weather
The sleet, snow and frozen roads by-passed us again. The Lord is so good to us in this part of the country but let us continue to remember it is still winter and we might get our share later on in the months ahead. We must not complain. I know I won’t because I’ve always said be thankful.
Saturday our Couples Ministry went very well. I counted 16 couples, but it could have been more. Sometimes you can miscount but it was many there all in their cowboys and cowgirls outfits. Thanks to Lisa Hubbard for our theme. Everyone looked very nice and comfortable. We had a great time out with our husbands and those planning to getting married. I don’t want to forget about the food every one of the ladies brought a covered dish and the food was delicious. We have some of the best cooks at the Springs. We thank God for them.
It is cold today at this writing, which is Sunday. Our pastor brought a wonderful message on Sunday coming from I Samuel 17: 48-50. His text, “Facing life’s difficulties.” The devil is always going to make a mistake always be prepared to meet the enemy head on not empty handed but with the Word of God. Always look through God for all of your problems. Don’t set there for 40-days with your difficulties. Don’t make your move too soon because God valves your opinions more than what others think of you. So when you are facing life’s difficulties seek God. Praise the Lord.
Keep all the sick, shut-ins, bereaved and our president in your thoughts and prayers.
Thought for the Week: “He will protect his godly ones.” I Samuel 2:9.
