“Hazel” Mary Louise Brown Hardy

Mary Louise Brown Hardy “Hazel”, 72, of Eatonton passed away January 29, 2013. She was a native of Morgan County. She was born July 25,1940 to the late James R. Brown and Carrie Hensley Brown. She was married to Aubrey Hardy who preceded her in death. She had worked as manager of The Homeplace Assisted Living. She was a member of Harvest Time Church in Madison. Mrs. Hardy loved her family and enjoyed caring for others.
Mrs. Hardy is survived by her children Mark Anthony Hardy and Courtney and Teresa Watkins and Randy; 10 grandchildren Audrey Watkins, Jenny Layne Watkins, Randal Watkins and Anna, Hannah Hardy, Miles Hardy and Amy, Olin Watkins, Will Bryant, Spenser Hardy, Cole Smith and Zoe Hardy; great grandchildren Trace Watkins, Saylor Lewis and Sage Watkins; her siblings Hattie Bonner, Faye Mitchem, Bobby Brown, Ezra Brown, Phoebe Slocumb, David Brown and Bonnie, Hazel Jordan, Gladys Cochran, Florence Hardy, Clyde Hardy Jr. and Charolette Edna Gowder and Billy Grant. Mrs. Hardy also leaves many other loving friends and family. She was preceded in death by her siblings James Brown, Paul Brown, Georgia Irvin, Winfred Brown and Ruth Bonner and a granddaughter Jessica Hardy.
The family received friends Wednesday, January 30. The funeral service was held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of A. E. Carter Funeral Home. Interment followed at the Buckhead Cemetery.
A.E. Carter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
